For this project in Wentworth-Nord, we restored the exterior protection of a log home to help preserve the wood and extend its lifespan. Over time, the protective finish can wear down due to sun exposure, moisture, and temperature changes. The goal was to provide the wood with renewed protection while preserving the home’s natural, warm character.
For this log home located in Wentworth-Nord, we worked on the exterior wood protection to help it better withstand outdoor conditions.
A log home requires regular maintenance. Wood is a living material that reacts to moisture, sunlight, freezing temperatures, and temperature fluctuations. When the protective finish begins to wear down, the wood can become more vulnerable to greying, staining, and premature deterioration.
For this project, we prepared the surfaces before renewing the wood protection. This step helps achieve a more even finish and ensures better adhesion of the product being applied. Once the surface was ready, we applied a new exterior protective finish to help preserve the home’s appearance and protect the wood for years to come.
If you want to keep your log home looking great and in good condition, renewing the protective finish at the right time can help prevent more extensive work down the road.
